Ear Worm // A Playlist by Bella Scott

This is a playlist full of catchy songs that you won’t be able to get out of your head.

Yo La Tengo // ‘My Heart’s Not In It’

The song that inspired my playlist. You really won’t be getting it out of your head for some time;

don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Alvvays // ‘Archie, Marry Me’

Perfect singalong in the shower material.

Queens of the Stone Age // ‘Make It Wit Chu’

This song is classic Queens: effortlessly cool, slow and slinky.

Pavement // ‘Cut Your Hair’

Another song that’s just too cool. Definitely give their Crooked Rain Crooked Rain album a listen.

The Lemonheads // ‘It’s A Shame About Ray’

The voice inside your head will be singing “It’s A Shame About Ray” all day long.

Violent Femmes // ‘Blister in the Sun’

Frantic and fun, this 1983 release was ahead of its time.

Camper Van Beethoven // ‘Take the Skinheads Bowling’

I first came across this song listening to Huey Morgan on BBC 6 Music (I think it’s been in my head ever since).

It might be silly, but it will definitely make you smile.

Goat Girl // ‘The Man’

This up-and-coming South London-based girl band signed a record deal with Rough Trade as teenagers,

releasing their first album earlier this year.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra // ‘Hunnybee’

I first heard this song on the bus on my way home from work earlier this year. It’s so addictive, I

couldn’t stop listening to if for weeks.

Childhood // ‘Californian Light’

This song will make your heart ache for summer.
