Winter Heat // A playlist by Sam Huntley

Winter may have come, but these tracks are here to keep you warm. Running with glacial Indie-Pop and Folk, here are my top picks right now.

Check the playlist here.

ALL TVVINS – THANK YOU

We kick off with a fast-mover to get the blood going. Strong drums, crunchy bass, playful electrics.

Flor – WARM BLOOD

Cold sounds, warm words. A paradox of frosty synth and fiery love lyrics, this track pretty much nails the ‘Winter Heat’ image.

NO ROME, THE 1975 – NARCISSIST (FEAT. THE 1975)

A fun collab that dropped in autumn this year. No Rome features The 1975’s own Matt Healy and the duo bring a great energy to it.

VANCOUVER SLEEP CLINIC – SOMEONE TO STAY

Raw and vulnerable, this atmospheric winter ballad pursues love in the cold. Stranger Things vibes for those of you waiting on Series 3…

HONNE – GOOD TOGETHER

Smooth as you like, a smoky romance hit from electro-pop class act HONNE. Makes sense in December; new ends, new beginnings.

WHETHAN, HONNE – RADAR FT. HONNE

My second collab for you is another lively one from this autumn. Moves with a cool synth and a real bop – bang this at your winter parties.

THE 1975 – IT’S NOT LIVING IF IT’S NOT WITH YOU

Slightly into The 1975 right now. Won’t lie to you.

ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD – SETTLE

Simply a stunning winter song from a truly spellbinding Irish folk band. If you’re stuck for New Year’s resolutions, make one to check out everything this band release.

RACING GLACIERS – SOUTH

Our trek through the cold follows with a smart, diverse track from English Alt. band Racing Glaciers. Comes with a cracking brass section.

VALLIS ALPS – YOUNG

Sending you off with a wavy number from electro-duo Vallis Alps. The electro breeze and calm beat make this a perfect fit for downtime.
