The Wytches have been making waves with their grimy brand of psych rock. Formed in 2011 in Peterborough, they released their first album Annabel Dream Reader in 2014, where it reached number 50 in the UK Albums Chart. With influences found in The Velvet Underground and The Seeds, the doomstruck sound in Annabel Dream Reader has boundless energy, and has made the band one to look out for. Their 2016 follow up album, All Your Happy Life, is as much of a distorted power-trip as their debut, full of unexpected twists and turns.

This year the band are heading on tour, and are gracing York’s Crescent Community Venue with a visit. Expect to hear a cross between Arctic Monkeys and Sonic Youth, with walls of sound stirring up an atmosphere both deep and dark in execution.

The Wytches headline the Crescent Community Venue on the 28th of February, with support from Vulgarians and The Black Lagoons. Buy tickets here.
