1. Crystal Castles – Kerosene
(III), Crystal Castles third album, released on November 12th, was always going to be good. Good in the bleakest, darkest, way possible. Early leaks of the tracks ‘Plague’ and ‘Wrath Of God’ left grave-wave fans dying (get it?) for more. Of the albums twelve tracks, ‘Kerosene’ is one of the softest, lending itself to the idea that beauty can be found in a world of ugliness suggested by the album cover – a burka-clad woman holding to her a wounded relative, shot in Yemen by photojournalist Samuel Aranda.
2. Joy Orbison – BRTHDTT!
BRTHDTT! – or Big Room Tech House Dj Tool-Tip! – yet to be released but bound to drop at WHP on December 1st. Feel weak just thinking about it.
3. Bayou – Cherry Cola
As little is known of Bayou as is known of his music, besides that they are from London and decided to use Japanese footage for the video of Cherry Cola because “it’s the furthest place I can imagine and the song is about escape”. 可愛い (Cute).By Joni Roome
